KAREN SHREWSBURY INTERVIEWED ON SPANISH TELEVISION
DULUTH, GA, FEBRUARY 8, 2008: Virtual Properties Realty is proud to recognize our associates who are serving their community. Karen Shrewsbury of Virtual Properties Realty, Inc. is a Gwinnett County resident who has made a difference in our community. For the past two years, Karen has been a board member of |
|
|
the all-volunteer, non-profit organization, SpayGeorgia, Inc.
Karen Shrewsbury, SpayGeorgia board member and animal advocate, was interviewed by the host of "Nuestra Georgia." This Spanish television program airs on Univision (Channel 34), and her interview was broadcast on Saturday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. The program gave Karen the opportunity to publicize the problems of pet overpopulation. Almost 100,000 dogs and cats are euthanized annually in the Atlanta metro area. This is a shocking figure, and SpayGeorgia goes to the source of the problem by providing low cost spay/neutering and a variety of education programs. Reducing the animal population reduces the number of dogs and cats who suffer needlessly. Karen and the other board members are dedicated to promoting humane treatment of all companion animals.
As a Board Member for SpayGeorgia, Karen donates her time and resources to benefit the organization. Karen's managing broker at Virtual Properties Realty, Angie Mezza-Smith, said: "Karen's loyalty, perseverance and hard work inspire many of her associates and friends. She definitely teaches each of us by example. We are grateful to Karen for her community efforts in Georgia."
